AN ESSENTIAL POINT FOR SUCCESSFUL SEEDING
EBRA Distributor Discs
A complete range for an unequalled versatility for sowing small and large seeds, BARE OR COATED
The distributor disc is of course an essential part of the seeding precision. At EBRA, instead of the plastic used on cheap brands, we have chosen aluminum discs. This is because even the thinnest discs (those used for small seeds) do not deform: even the smallest seeds cannot get behind the disc.
A noble material
Even custom made

Understand the name of the disk
Understanding the names of the discs will help you better select and use your discs.
The first number indicates the number of teeth, holes or lugs on the disc. The higher this number, the denser the seed will be. e.g. 40 teeth on the 40 P1 disc
The middle letter refers to the type of disk.
A : with large notches
B : with round holes
F : bean discs
M : star-shaped
OC : bulbous discs
P : with notches
R : with lugs
T with oblong holes
ex : The 40 P1 disk is a notched disk

How to choose your discs
The table below provides guidance on which discs you need.

Table of discs
TYPE OF CULTURE | Low to medium density | Medium to high density | Clusters | Informations |
---|---|---|---|---|
ARACHIDE | 8 A13 | |||
OAT | 24-P4 or 32-P6 if the seeds are small | 24-P6 | Le disque prend plusieurs graines à la fois, mais cela convient pour le semis d'avoine. | |
BASILIC | 40 PEP | 40-P1E (or 40 P1 for really dense seeding) | ||
BEET fodder | 24 B7 | 33-B8,5 | Due to the irregularity of beet seed size, the disc numbers are given as a guide. The last figure of the reference of the disc indicates the size of the hole in mm. It is thus necessary to take the largest seeds of the batch to be sown and to add 1 mm to have the reference of the disc to use. | |
BEET Red | 24-B6 | 33-B6 | Due to the irregularity of beet seed size, the disc numbers are given as a guide. The last figure of the reference of the disc indicates the size of the hole in mm. It is thus necessary to take the largest seeds of the batch to be sown and to add 1 mm to have the reference of the disc to use. | |
BETTERAVE Glomerula | 24 B6 to 24 B9 depending on seed size | 33-B8,5 | Due to the irregularity of beet seed size, the disc numbers are given as a guide. The last figure of the reference of the disc indicates the size of the hole in mm. It is thus necessary to take the largest seeds of the batch to be sown and to add 1 mm to have the reference of the disc to use. | |
WHEAT | 32 P6 | 24 P4 | The 24 P4 disc takes several seeds at a time to ensure a higher seeding density. | |
CARROT | 40-P1E or 40 P1, or even 40 P2 for coated seeds (depending on seed size) | 40-P1 or 40-P2, or even 40 P4 | For seed sizes 1.6 - 1.8, the 40 P1E disc is normally suitable for seed to seed. For larger batches, 40 P1 or even 40 P2 may be required. For seeding with a burst seed pack (seeds randomly distributed on a strip of 8 cm wide), one can choose a disc ensuring a higher density (40 P1, 40 P2 even 40 P4). | |

COLZA | 8 B2,5-2 à 24 B2,5 (le 24 B assure une densité plus forte) | 40 P1 or 40 P2 (P2 ensures a higher density) | ||
